Overlooking the beautiful Rice Creek in northwest St. Paul, is Creek House, the newest best kept secret in town. Creek House is part art gallery and part sonically wonderful listening room.
The musical mission at Creek House is to present the audience with the best in local and national artists playing folk, blues, roots, classical and jazz as well as storytellers, poets, and authors.
Equally important is Creek House director Glenn Elvig's desire to have every artist leave feeling that they just played the best gig of their lives. Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Jon Vezner recently said during his performance, "I can actually hear myself... these monitors are incredible! ...this system could fill a stadium!" Jon brought the audience to tears with his touching song "Where've You Been?"
The incredible and wonderful singer/songwriter Michael Peter Smith said, "Wow, this is like playing in a sophisticated and classy nightclub!" We will forever be indebted to Michael for kicking off our series of concerts and hope we will be able to have him back many times again to hear him perform his songs "The Dutchman" and "Dead Egyptian Blues."
Director of sound, Marty Reynolds has put together a sound system that is second to none. Marty's years of experience has created a room that is a sonic joy for both artist and audience.
